July 2009. The work among the Makua in Northern Mozambique continues to grow. During July a joint outreach/training/Bible Placement event was held at Montepuez. A visiting group of 16 Americans joined a South African team for a week of ministry.

Over 1,000 Portuguese Bibles were delivered to existing churches during the week. For many of these churches these were the first Bibles ever to be owned by their members. A Makua translation is being worked on but is not yet available.

While teams went out to work with churches and to teach, mentor and do evangelism, pastors gathered to be trained. This is vital ministry as many leaders have inefficient training. During the week many new churches were planted.
